Originally developed to treat chronically suicidal clients living with borderline personality disorder, dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) is the current gold-standard choice of therapy for treating not only BPD, but many mental health conditions including substance dependence, post-traumatic stress disorder and depression. In this session, mental health nurse, Geoff Ahern, teaches on the basics of DBT and how it can be so effective in helping clients to ‘live a life worth living’.
