The Older Persons Advocacy Network (OPAN) is a national network comprising nine state and territory organisations that have been delivering advocacy, information, and education services to older people across Australia for over 30 years. OPAN’s services support older people and their representatives to address issues related to Australian Government-funded aged care services. They are an independent body on the side of the older person and this independence is a key strength both for individual and systemic advocacy. OPAN and its network members provide access to free advocacy support by ringing 1800 700 600, and information and education.
