Ra'eesa Doola

Biography

Dr Ra’eesa Doola is a Team Leader, Acting Research Fellow and ICU dietitian working across the Princess Alexandra Hospital and the Centre for Functioning and Health Research. She also holds an Honorary Senior Lecturer appointment through the PAH Southside Clinical Unit, The University of Queensland. After completing her Bachelor of Health Sciences (Nutrition and Dietetics) in 2005, Ra'eesa has primarily worked clinically across ICU and surgical services. She completed her PhD titled “Nutritional management of hyperglycaemia in intensive care” through The University of Queensland in 2019 and has been the recipient of a number of grants which has supported her research in investigating the impact of critical care nutrition support practices on glycaemic control and inflammation in context of the acute metabolic stress response.
